Why we make it.
Mid-century magic finds it peak in the
whiskey sour. If you ask me. Which you didn't. But I'm telling you anyway. I've told you before I'm not a big bourbon drinker but being from where I'm from
that's really no fun, so over the years I've found a few bourbon cocktails I
can truly love. Most involve lemon. That's really all the whiskey sour does
involve. Whiskey, lemon, a little sugar syrup. The ruby burst of a bourbon-soaked
cherry. A wedge of orange, a hunk of ice. Cocktail culture at its finest, if
you ask me. If you want to get a party started get out your shaker and sling
some sours. Refreshing, sweet and tart, they're a light way to introduce your
friends to the wonders of whiskey without drowning their palates in the hard
stuff. That's why we shake them!
